Our detailed floor plans for residential and commercial properties are informative and graphically pleasing. Our floor planners are professionally trained and follow the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors’ (RICS) latest publications, including the Property Measurement, 2nd edition.

DJD are committed to being at the forefront of industry standards. We‘ve been in direct consultation with the RICS and were actively involved in creating the IPMS consumer guide publication. Our floor plans are all drawn to the RICS Property Measurement, 2nd edition, incorporating the International Property Measurement Standards (IPMS).

An extensive quality control process is followed at our production office in Sri Lanka and floor plans are subsequently checked by CAD technicians at our UK Head Office. Our surveyors are either commercially trained or RICS-certified property measurers and are regularly audited to ensure that all floor plans are consistently accurate.

    With experience dating back to 1989 (when properties were measured using tape measures and floor plans drawn by hand!), our floor planning service never fails to deliver the highest standard for which we are known in the industry.

    Our entire floor plan team, including both field and office based staff, are commercially trained or RICS-certified property measurers, offering you reassurance that our plans undergo an extensive quality control process; from measuring, to drawing, to delivering the final floor plan.

    The majority of our field staff are also professional photographers and qualified domestic energy assessors (DEAs), allowing us to provide multiple services within a single visit, as well as a fast turnaround and great overall experience for our clients.

    3D Floor Plans

    Our 3D floor plan service offers a different perspective and an ideal solution to present a true feel of a property, offering a stunning overview of the floor plan and a better understanding of the size, scale and finishes of each room, complete with texture, materials and furniture. Our 3D floor plans can be ordered as a standalone service or alongside our marketing floor plan or redraw services.

    HMO Plan

    HMO Floor Plans

    When renting a property to three or more people who are not from the same household, but share facilities such as a kitchen and bathroom, it is necessary to obtain an HMO license from your local authority. As part of the planning application you’ll be asked to provide a floor plan indicating the general layout, dimensions and areas of all rooms/communal areas, as well as the location of all fire safety equipment including fire extinguishers, heat and smoke detectors, fire doors and escape windows.
